Welcome to FossilWeb!

Changes are coming! For years you and your fellow fossil fanatics have been submitting fossils for identification and you have been helping each other get them identified. Then you probably (like me) put those fossils in a drawer or a box in the garage rarely to be seen again. A precious few may have made it to a place of honor displayed on a curio shelf in the living room. At last you can share your finds with the world in the new FossilWeb Museum of Paleontology. Soon you will be able to upload pictures of your fossils along with information about them. You will be able to display fossils by taxonomy (phylum, class, order, etc.) by Geological period, location found, or discoverer. So go out to the garage and dust off those hidden fossils. Then start taking digital photos of those special finds of yours so you can share them with the world!

What's This?
So you've found a fossil and don't know what it is! You can submit that fossil for identification by fellow fossil freaks around the world.

I Know! It's a prehistoric peace sign! So you see a fossil on this site you recognize! Now's your chance to help out those who need your special knowledge.

Paleo Pebbles
